CLUB CAPTAINS

Role of Club Captains:

Support swim teams at competitions, making sure all the competing swimmers are cheered on - basically getting the team to work together.

Act as liaison between swimmers and the Committee - bringing ideas or concerns to monthly meetings.

Help to promote Club functions and convince people to get involved.

Give help and guidance to the younger swimmers

Criteria for Selection:

We usually choose two club captains, one male and one female from the senior end of the club.  We look for swimmers who have been with the Club since their early development and have competed for the club. They also should be committed and eager to help the club and fulfill the captains role.  In assessing this the commitment they have given to helping the club in the past is an important consideration and not just competing for the club.
