Alan Bartlett awarded MBE

To many current members you will not know who Alan Bartlett is.

Alan joined SSC aged 7 in 1952 and became a committee member at the age of  just16. He became chairman and then president of the club.  Since then he has helped run Worcester County for almost 50 years. An international official, ASA regional board member and president elect to the ASA. He won the Harold Fern award the highest national award in swimming.  A fantastic honour

to a person who has devoted his life to swimming at all levels. We are proud that he is a member of SSC and still takes a keen interest in the club.

Congratulations to Alan
