The club has a responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of all the members especially children.
It is therefore very important that anyone in the club who comes into
direct contact with the swimmers
goes on a Child protection course.
This needs to be repeated every few years to keep abreast of latest developments in this area.
It is also a requirement for our Swim 21 accreditation which is due for renewal this year.
We are putting on a child protection course at Summerhill School on June 20th from 10am to 1.00pm.
It is vitally important that everyone attends. There are 20 places.
Please email Bernard if you intend to attend please. All widths teachers, teachers and coaches should attend unless they have recently been on one. If so please could you let the club have a copy of your certificate. Also all poolside helpers at galas and sessions, team managers
and it would also be helpfull for officials and committee members to attend.
