New Ranking System

Starting from the 10th December, the way Stourbridge SC keeps its swimmers' rankings will change.  The way you use the website to update your PB online will remain the same, but the way your times are kept on the main system is changing.  We are changing the system due to a variety of reasons.  These include: the new format Worcester County Selection Committee would like the times, our out-dated system, team mangers being able to calculate exactly the swimmers age on day at the click of a button and us also able to display these ranking upon our website.

In order to move to this new way we need you to submit your PB’s using a new piece of software - the link to this is below.

 It is very simple to use but you must make sure that you type in the correct information in the correct format in each of the cells on the spreadsheet.  This is very important otherwise your PB’s will not be uploaded onto the new system and be ignored by the swimming club selection committee as well as the County selection committee.  An example is shown on the software that you must follow.  In the stroke box you must type your sex first followed by one space then the distance in numbers (no metres sign), then one space and then the stroke.  A list of some of the events to give you an idea is shown below:

Boys 25 Free Boys 100 Back Boys 200 Breast Boys 50 Fly Boys 100 IM
Girls 1500 Free Girls 50 Back Girls 100 Breast Girls 50 Fly Girls 400 IM

You must also type the time in the correct format also.  This is 00:00.00 notice the use of the colon and then the decimal point.  Again this MUST be followed.  When you type the time in the computer will automatically round the time to one decimal place, don’t worry.

The D.O.B field also must be filled in correctly as this to will result in problems if not.  You must time in your date of birth using the 8-digit format e.g.  17/09/1973 the computer again will then round this so don’t worry if it changes. 

Finally the column that displays the number 107.28 do not touch it, and ignore this column.

Once you have typed in all your PB’s onto the spreadsheet this then needs to be sent by e-mail to Stewart.  Print-offs of this spreadsheet will not be accepted.
