In line with the Pedmore Technology College child protection rules, we have been advised that no cameras or mobile phones are allowed in or around the pool areas and changing rooms at the Pedmore Technology College by parents or swimmers.

This is a rigid instruction by the school.  We have had a concession that it is permissible for a swimmer to have a mobile phone for safety reasons but it must be kept in their bag, switched-off and then only used away from the pool and changing areas to contact their parents in an emergency.

We must also advise parents that it has always been the policy of the Club not to allow photography or the use of image capturing on phones during training sessions and no mobile phones may be used for any reason in changing rooms.  We also do not allow photography during our events.  We operate a policy in excess of the ASA child protection policy.  The only photography allowed by the club is for training or publicity purposes and is only with the prior permission of the parent or guardian of each child involved and a full explanation of the reasons is given at the time.
