CRYSTAL OPEN MEET 2010
Each year Stourbridge Swimming Club host two Open Meets. Our A grade meet is the Crystal Open now in its 23rd Year. It is called the Crystal Open because the first prize for each event is a hand cut lead Crystal Goblet. These are highly prized and swimmers return every year to try to win them. The Crystal is a one day two session high quality meet and is one of the first meets of the year and gives swimmers the opportunity to get that prized National or District time.
This year we are not able to use our own consideration times and have to use the new
national mandatory times set by the ASA for a Level 2 meet.
Note this meet is not a first come meet and entries are accepted on the basis of fastest times. Also if the meet is oversubscribed entries will be reduced on the basis of entry time and also if necessary on the basis of numbers of swims a swimmers has entered to satisfy the capacity of the pool and health and safety. It therefore pays to enter as many races as possible.
