A trip to our local rivals and by the looks main competition this year Halesowen starts this years Worcester Winter League campaign.
With Halesowen on home turf this would not be easy and especially as we had several key swimmers missing (Lauren,Zoë,Charlotte and Ant.)However we have strength and depth in our squads and a couple of new faces.
As we are defending Champions it would be nice to get off to a good start.
6.00pm came and as usual the poolside atmosphere was electric with our hosts Halesowen,Worcester,Haden hill and Redditch all looking for that same good start. Worcester would draw first blood with the first race victory.

Last year we romped home to victory in round one dropping only a handful of wins. This year was to prove much harder as you can see
from the points. There are some great young faces spread out between the clubs over the county.Which is great news for the County.
The Winter league will be tough to win again this year as always and I am sure Halesowen and Worcester will be there again hopefully
with ourselves.
Thanks to our hosts Halesowen and all the officials.
Special thanks to Steve,Bob and Jeff.
There is always a chance the A team may draw the B team in round 2.
Now that could be very interesting as the B team are looking good too.
Lets hope everyone is ready for the next round fighting fit and available to swim for the club whether it A or B team.
Finally, swim of the night this goes to Sam Tromans for a great double and a fine pose at the end of his second swim.He saw Nick do
it and I suggested he did it too.I hope you all saw.It was hilarious.(oh no that's Stew talking)
Team of the night 13s with a fine double relay victory.Well done. The 15 lads deserve a mention too for there attitude towards others.
That's it check out the result sheet for all positions.
