Warley Gala Report 19^th May 2007

Better late than never guys and girls, I’ve been very busy and lots of galas on top of each other so I will reel off all the reports in one night.

The opposition on the night would consist of Halesowen, Perry Beeches, Warley Wasps, Blythe Barracuda and Fox Hollies, the venue for the evening’s events was Halesowen. With our great rivals in their home pool this would be difficult, it was also our own open meet the following day so some swimmers were unavailable.

The Team

10’s: Katie Jones, Emma Pay, Natalie Dingley, Adam Horton, Jake Knight

12’s: Fran Pinchin, Beth Davies, Sophie Page, Tom Asprey, Sam Tromans

14’s: Sarah Pearson, Lisa Henderson, Sam Rowbotham, Graham Harrington, Alex Thom

Open: Anna Hodt, Charlotte Rowbotham, Becky Evans, Zoe Hunter, Phil Harrington, Matt Hooper, James Nock

Well I just couldn’t ask for more with this one, with 37 victories and 7 second places, a record total (to my knowledge) as team manager of 250 points. What can I say, an outstanding performance, although the Halesowen team may have been a little under strength for one reason or another, but still gave fine opposition in many events, as always.

I’m not going to pick a swimmer of the night as I simply can not.
